Kihon Kata
New students learn 5 fundamental patterns of movement, called Kihon Kata. Experienced students review and relearn Kihon Kata! These 5 kata (forms) are the building blocks for all karate methods in our school.
Kihon kata ichi
Yoi
Step forward left, zenkutsu dachi, middle reverse punch (4x)
Step backward, neko ashi dachi, inside middle block (4x)
Return to yoi

Step forward left, zenkutsu dachi, high reverse punch (4x)
Step backward, neko ashi dachi, outside middle block, then low block same arm (4x)
